Vancouver Food & Restaurant Photographer

Photography that makes people hungry — and curious about your restaurant.

On-location. Story-driven. Made for Vancouver's food scene

I'm Kristi — a Vancouver food photographer with a genuine, slightly inconvenient obsession with great restaurants and everything that goes into them.

Most food photography stops at the dish. I'm more interested in the whole story: the way the light falls across your dining room at 6pm, the energy of a kitchen mid-service, the details that make your space feel like somewhere worth being. The kind of content that makes someone put their phone down, open a new tab, and make a reservation.I shoot on-location at your restaurant, using the atmosphere and character you've already built as the backdrop. No sterile studio. No fake props. Just your space, your food, and photography that actually looks like your brand.

I work with independent cafes, neighbourhood restaurants, and food businesses across Greater Vancouver who want visual content that does more than fill a grid.

What a Restaurant Photography Session Looks Like

Every shoot is tailored to what your business actually needs. Here's what most sessions cover

  • Menu hero shots — your signature dishes, photographed to make people order them before they sit down.

  • Atmosphere & interior photography — the vibe, the lighting, the details that make your space worth visiting.Action & process shots — plating, pouring, the kitchen at work. Content that shows the craft behind the food.

  • Team & chef portraits — optional add-on. Great for Google profiles, press features, and social media.

  • Fully edited, high-resolution files — delivered within two weeks, sized for web, social, and print use.

Everything is shot on-location. No travel fees within Greater Vancouver.

Vancouver's Restaurant Scene Deserves Better Photography

Vancouver has one of the most exciting restaurant scenes in the country. The food is extraordinary. The spaces are beautiful. And yet — most restaurants are still relying on dim, phone-shot photos that do none of it justice.

Your visual content is working around the clock. It's on your website when someone Googles you at 11pm trying to decide where to take their partner for their anniversary. It's in your Google Business listing when someone types in 'best brunch in Kitsilano.' It's the first three seconds someone spends on your Instagram before they follow you or keep scrolling.

Great restaurant photography doesn't just document your food. It communicates your atmosphere, your craft, and your personality — the things that make someone choose you over the place around the corner.Whether you're a cozy Commercial Drive cafe, a Gastown cocktail bar, or a Mount Pleasant brunch spot building a following — your space has a story. I'm here to shoot it.
