Documentary wedding photography isn't a trend — it's a philosophy.It means I show up to your wedding as an observer, not a director. My job is to disappear into the room and capture what's actually happening: the unscripted moments, the quiet in-betweens, the emotions that don't happen on cue. The kind of photos that, when you look at them ten years from now, put you right back in the room. This style works especially well for couples who hate being in front of a camera.
When I'm not asking you to look here and smile, you forget I'm there — and that's when the best images happen. Every wedding I shoot is different. Some are big and loud and beautiful in their chaos. Some are twenty people on a cliffside at sunset. I love both equally. What stays consistent is how I work: quietly, intentionally, and always chasing the light.

All packages include high-resolution photographs with printing rights, a private online gallery, and a sneak peek within 24 hours. Weddings Across Greater Vancouver & Beyond
Vancouver is, honestly, a ridiculous place to get married. Mountains behind you, ocean in front of you, and more beautiful venues per square kilometre than any city has a right to. I've shot at Stanley Park Pavilion, where heritage charm meets old-growth forest and the light comes in sideways through the trees in a way that makes every couple look like a painting.
I've worked at Cecil Green Park House on the UBC cliffs — all stone and ivy and views of the Strait of Georgia — and at Hycroft Manor in Shaughnessy, where the rose garden is exactly as beautiful as it sounds. I love the waterfront romance of Brock House at Jericho Beach, the art deco character of Heritage Hall in East Van, the lush privacy of Van Dusen Botanical Garden.
For the adventure-minded couples, Squamish and Whistler offer something no ballroom can: real wilderness as your backdrop.And if you're dreaming of somewhere further afield — Italy, Iceland, the Rockies, or anywhere else your love story takes you — I have a passport and no objection to packing a bag.
An engagement session is one of my favourite things to do — and not just because it produces beautiful photos (it does).It's our warm-up. By the time your wedding rolls around, you'll already know how I work, what to expect from being in front of my camera, and that yes, it's actually fun. You'll be relaxed. That makes every single photo better.
We can shoot anywhere in Vancouver — Jericho Beach at golden hour, a Gastown laneway, the trails behind your neighbourhood, or wherever feels most like the two of you. Engagement sessions are included in The Everything Story package and can be added to others. Just be yourselves. I'll handle the rest.

Not every love story needs two hundred guests, a seating chart, and a DJ who plays 'Don't Stop Believin'' at 11pm. Some of the best weddings I've photographed have been just the two of you and a view that made everyone cry. I specialize in elopements and intimate weddings — the kind where the ceremony is the point and the photos are the record.
